Altona Meadows’ Allison Wooles is one tough mother.
She recently won the Spartan Race in Adelaide at 20 weeks pregnant and eventually hopes to compete on Channel 9’s Australian Ninja Warrior.
The 32-year-old completed an 8.6kilometre elite sprint and more than 20 obstacles, including rope climbs, a weighted-sandbag run and barbed-wire crawls, with a time of 1:8:23.
“If you fail an obstacle, you have to do 30 chest-to-floor burpees,” Ms Wooles said.
It’s the second Spartan Race she has won this year.
Ms Wooles will be 27 weeks pregnant when she competes in the next one, to be held in Bright in October.
“I’ll race, but not in the elite race,” she said.
“I’ll just have a bit of fun with that one.”
Ms Woole spent more than 20 years as a circus performer before starting her Tough Mother Fitness personal training business.
She and her husband Craig hope to vie for the title of Australian Ninja Warrior after the birth of their baby.
