An alleged thief who donned a blonde wig and female clothing to hold up a Taylors Hill service station has been charged.
The cross-dressing man, as reported by Star Weekly, walked into a service station on Taylors Road in Taylors Hill about 7.30pm on March 30.
He threatened the store attendant with what appeared to be a home-made machinegun, and demanded money, police said.
He was also wearing sunglasses and a black hat, complete with bow.

The 23-year-old man, from Taylors Hill, was arrested on Thursday and charged with one count of armed robbery.
He was remanded to face Melbourne Magistrates Court at a later date.
