Kealba: Bomb squad examining suspicious package

Bomb squad detectives are examining a suspicious package found in a car in Kealba.

Police found the package after stopping a car during a routine intercept at the Caltex service station near the corner of Main Road East and Sunshine Avenue about 4.15am on Friday.

The package has been taken Sunshine police station for further examination by the bomb response unit.

Two men are assisting police with their investigation.
