Art can be science and, as shown by Monmia Primary School pupils, science can also be art.
The Keilor Downs school held its annual art show as part of Education Week, and chose to celebrate the interaction of science and art.
The Art of Science gave children, including grade six pupil Marcus, the chance to portray the creative side of science, assistant principal Vineta Mitrevski said.
Pupils have been working on their pieces since the start of the year.
“We’ve been holding this art show for years now and our parents always come in big crowds,” Ms Mitrevski said.
“The creativity of the students has blown me away.”
