Beatles fans are being invited to come together for a special presentation in Altona on Monday. John Dawson will host a two-hour session looking at The Beatles songs from the first to last – Love Me do to the aptly named, The End. The free event is called The BEAT, which stands for Beatle Enthusiasts Appreciation Thingie.
Silvers Circus at Bacchus Marsh

Gisborne-based Silvers Circus will bring its world-travelling performances to town for five days. Among the spectacular acts to be featured in the two-hour shows will be a “pocket rocket” spinning up to 100 hula hoops at once, motorcyclists speeding inside the 3.5-metre “globe of death”, the Comedy Clowns and illusionist Simon Tait. Sunbury goes country for charity

Human rights film festival goes west

Crafty women come to Ballan

Ballarat and Districts Country Women’s Association traditionally hosts the CWA Art and Crafts Exhibition in Ballarat, but more than 500 entrants will this year occupy the Mechanics Hall in Ballan for the first time in the exhibition’s 70-year history.
Pitching the Australian dream

The Australian dream of home ownership is under the microscope in Footscray this week as part of the 2016 Next Wave Festival.
