Brimbank council is seeking community feedback on two concept design options for Glengala Village.

Council said both of the two design options provide improvements to create a safer street environment, an attractive neighbourhood hub with lots of greenery, and more space for locals to walk, shop and gather.

Option 1 design includes a pedestrian priority crossing point at the centre of the Village, whereas option 2 does not include a central crossing point.

Currently, Glengala Village has 22 on-street car parking spaces. The proposed designs provide 19 on-street car parking spaces for option 1, and 22 on-street car parking spaces for option 2.

Council will host an in-person chat on Saturday, May 11, from 10am-noon in front of Australia Post on Glengala road, Sunshine West for residents to discuss the options and provide feedback to council.

Consultation is now open to the community to provide feedback on their preferred design option up until Sunday, May 19.

Council said it plans to begin the upgrade works during the 2026-27 financial year with design and timing subject to service authority approval and council budget.

Artist impressions of the two concept design options can be accessed on council’s website.
